Business Intelligence (BI) Engineer

The BI Engineer works with data collection, data warehousing, and data reporting efforts.  She or he focuses on the design and implementation of a data warehouse to store all of IMO’s relevant operational data, gathering data into the warehouse, analysis of the data and providing internal customers access to the data appropriately (either by reports or web services). The BI Engineer is an interdisciplinary individual who works closely with many stakeholders to ensure that the data most important to analyzing and improving IMO’s operations is accessible and well-understood.

Clinical Terminologist

The Clinical Terminologist works as part of the team responsible for creation and maintenance of IMO’s rapidly expanding clinical terminology content, which is used by hundreds of thousands of clinicians worldwide. DevOps Engineer

The objective of the DevOps Engineer is to manage, monitor, and maintain IMO hosting systems and hosted applications, as well as to ensure system availability and performance complies with Global Hosting Operations’ expectations and standards.  The Hosting Systems DevOps Engineer will have a strong focus on understanding and proactively addressing current hosting needs as well as planning for future capacity, security and availability of hosted infrastructure and applications.

Inside Sales Specialist

As an Inside Sales Specialist, you will be marketing IMO solutions to one of our vendors, NextGen.

The primary promotional effort will be to migrating current NextGen customers from IMO’s Problem IT product to IMO’s Problem IT Plus product and to move non-users using to Problem IT Plus directly or in collaboration with value-added Referral Programs.

As an Inside Sales Specialist, you will report directly to a member of the sales and marketing team. However, the position is in the IMO’s Technical Services & Integration team comprised of Integration Development and Integration Services that supports current customers within the NextGen channel. Integration Services is comprised of Services Groups, led by Integration Services Manager.

By collaborating with the technical services and integration team, the Inside Sales Specialist will develop their knowledge of IMO products and services to advance personal capabilities and responsibilities for career progression into other roles within IMO.

Knowledge Team Operations Internship

Intelligent Medical Objects, Inc. (IMO), developers of the most widely used and physician-preferred terminology service for electronic health records (EHR) systems, is seeking highly motivated, detail-oriented individuals to intern with our Knowledge Operations Team. This position is ideal for college students with an organized approach to thinking. 

A love of the medical/healthcare field, continued learning, words, language, word puzzles/games, and utilization of research skills are indicators that you might be a good fit for this position.  As a Knowledge Operations Team Intern, your primary involvement will be evaluating and appropriately incorporating medical terms into IMO's existing medical terminology. 

This will require high attention to detail, research, understanding of complex IMO policies, and collaboration with the full-time staff and other interns.  Most internship spots will be available at our UIUC location, with limited availability at our Northbrook location.

Medical Terminology Developer

The Medical Terminology Developer is part of the Knowledge Team. The Knowledge Team curates and manages IMO’s medical terminology. Our terminology is dynamic and expanding because we are constantly integrating customer data into our content, adding new content, and implementing quality assurance measures on our existing content. In this position, you will play a key role in shaping the workflows, tooling, and infrastructure that allow the Knowledge Team to design, develop, maintain, and document our dictionary of terms.

Product Manager

As Product Manager, you will guide a team that is charged with ownership of at least one IMO product line. This extends from increasing the profitability of existing products to developing new products within that product line for IMO’s industry-leading clinical interface terminology products. You will build products from existing ideas, and help to develop new ideas based on your industry experience and your contact with customers and prospects. You must possess a unique blend of business and technical savvy, a big-picture vision, and the drive to make that vision a reality. You must enjoy spending time in the market to understand their problems, and find innovative solutions for the broader market.

You must be able to communicate with all areas of the company. You will work closely with IMO clinical subject matter experts and engineering counterparts to define product release requirements. You will work with sales and marketing to define the go-to-market strategy, helping them understand the product positioning, key benefits, and target customer. You will also serve as the internal and external evangelist for your product offering, working in collaboration with IMO partners and key customers.
