Channel Sales Associate

This position has a sales focus and therefore there is an expectation that the efforts and activities of this role will lead to growth in revenue of our channel partners.  With an expectation to grow sales comes a variable compensation portion of total cash compensation that will be communicated in writing to each individual in the role, as well as at the start of each year.

The Channel Sales Associate is responsible for the ongoing sale, implementation, onboarding and incremental expansion of Provider applications, IMO’s expansion into provider market types which consist but are not limited to EMRs, EHRs, Charge Capture and Practice Management solutions.

Overview of Duties and Responsibilities

  • Cold calling, tradeshow attending, new business/existing development
  • Demo, sell and make sure implementation moves smoothly for new vendors and incremental add-on products for existing vendors
  • Attend vendor specific tradeshows and market tradeshows
  • Cold-call new prospects and expand business into existing and new market areas specific to Provider Applications and Homegrown solutions
  • Understand the intent and intrinsic value of a given initiative and the various data and reporting elements unique to Provider based market segments
  • Understand value add of IMO product in relationship to prospect and partner clinical/reference/claims workflow
  • Identify key differentiators unique to vendor type
  • Develop relationships towards closing deal
  • Provide reporting support to effectively show impact of Business unit expansion and retention.
  • If partner indicates mutual marketing requirement… communicate and manage needs and responsibilities with Marketing team

Knowledge, Skills, and Attributes

  • Bachelor’s Degree in business, computer science, healthcare informatics, politics or any healthcare oriented degree required, MBA or additional business certification preferred
  • Any experience in fields of Healthcare IT, Medical/Healthcare Informatics or Electronic Medical Records
  • Understanding of healthcare operations, healthcare reimbursement routes and healthcare coding systems
  • Advanced knowledge different healthcare solutions and market opportunities
  • Participated in the implementation and / or use of healthcare systems in a variety of settings;  participated in implementation or data analysis projects

  • Able to grasp core business models quickly and understand the complexities of a small, fast pace healthcare organization
  • Core competency in sales-based email etiquette and being cognizant around communication styles
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills and ability to listen and present with a high degree of comfort and credibility. Ability to effectively present ideas and understanding to small groups of C-Suite and Executive level prospects and partners. Ability to show empathy.
  • Proven business acumen in successfully fostering value-based relationships and a skill set that enables successful relationships with numerous levels of healthcare professionals
