Intelligent Medical Objects, Inc. (IMO) seeks a Database Developer (Northbrook, IL) responsible for maintaining and improving various transformation scripts to accommodate our ever evolving product packaging requirements. Specific responsibilities include: develop, analyze and maintain tools that support and automate processes for hardware or software product release; write installation scripts and programs for installation of products; compile and assembles software from source code; ensure tools are stored in source control; support developers for software package registry and delivery; work with others to complete analysis, evaluations and design alternatives and to implement process improvements; work with development engineers to correct build errors; develop new packaging/transformation processes/scripts to spec.; maintain and optimize existing packaging/transformation processes/scripts; gather and document new product packaging requirements/specifications; execution and validation of scripts; develop and maintain oracle import scripts (ranging from ASCII-delimited, to structured XML, to custom); and participate in IMO Release Team meetings to determine an appropriate build schedule and then initiates the build packaging process.
Position requires a Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a closely related Engineering degree, plus 5 years of experience in the job offered, or as a Programmer Analyst, Software Engineer, Graduate Teaching Assistant, Intern, or a similar software product packaging position. In the alternative, employer will also accept a Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a closely related Engineering degree, plus 2 year of experience in the job offered, or as a Programmer Analyst, Software Engineer, Graduate Teaching Assistant, Intern, or a similar software product packaging position. Experience must include: experience with best practice data warehouse methodologies; reporting and extracting transform load; working with industry standard databases including oracle development; creating shell and python scripts for process automation; working with software engineering application development; and working with business process management software.
