DevOps Engineer

Overview of Duties and Responsibilities

  • Work and learn in cross-functional agile teams to design, implement, maintain and monitor a common CI/CD pipeline
  • Uphold and improve best practice processes, standards and controls as it relates to DevOps
  • Automate deployment, monitoring, management and incident response
  • Develop and maintain automated, zero-downtime deployment capabilities
  • Promote a risk-aware culture, ensure efficient and effective risk and compliance management practices by adhering to required standards and processes, such as HIPAA
  • Work with our Infrastructure Ops Team to design and implement fully automated infrastructure environments

Knowledge, Skills, and Attributes

Must have:

  • Experience in automation of code deployment across multiple cloud providers such as Amazon Web Services, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud, etc… at scale
  • Experience in Azure and/or AWS services beyond basic IaaS functionality
  • Experience with Build and Deployment tools such as TFS, Terraform, Octopus or equivalent
  • Expertise in monitoring best practices & tooling
  • Solid understanding of core DevOps principles
  • Demonstrable CI/CD pipeline management experience
  • An enjoyment of technical challenges and eagerness to explore new approaches
  • A willingness to ask for help and able to communicate what you need to do your best work

Nice to have:

  • An academic degree in Computer Science or comparable discipline
  • A solid understanding of software construction and principles
  • Proficiency in the SDLC in an agile environment

  • Monitoring: Cloudwatch, AppInsights, PRTG, Dynatrace
  • SCM: Puppet, PowerShell, Cloud Formation
