QA Developer

As a QA Developer you will be working within the Product Release team in the Products & Services department; focusing on testing of the IMO product packages and content, either by manual testing or use of testing tools. This will include enhancing and executing our current, in-house test automation tools.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities


  • Creation and maintenance of automated testing scripts and tools to enhance the testing process
  • Execution and Documentation of both manual and automated testing design and processes
  • Creation and maintenance of test plans and other documents to assist in the testing process
  • Verify project functions according to specifications, client requirements, problem reports, and other appropriate documentation.  This includes verification of:

              User workflow

              Detailed Unit functionality

              Data integrity

              Structure Checking



              User Functionality Testing

  • Regression testing of prior functionality of the product
  • Documentation of issues in appropriate forum
  • Documentation of testing activities for the given project through completed test plans, outlines, client reports, etc.
  • Train product release team on execution and validation of scripts
  • Work with IMO database administrators to continually tune processes for performance
  • Participation in IMO Release Team meetings
  • Support for implementation, as appropriate.This may include working during off hours.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required

  • Requires a Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent degree in Computer Science, Computer /Electrical Engineering, or a closely related Engineering degree
  • Practical experience with programming, including the following: SQL, PowerShell, XML, HTML, web services, Oracle, Microsoft SQL Server
  • Scripting experience in Windows batch files and other scripting languages
  • Familiarity with the following is a plus: C#, Microsoft ASP.Net, Microsoft ASP, Microsoft Visual Studio, Java, Perl, and Python
  • Automated testing experience a plus
  • Experience with Agile process framework and Scrum a plus
  • Must have legal authority to work permanently in the U.S.
