Systems Analyst

The objective of the Systems Analyst is to manage, monitor, and maintain IMO hosted systems and applications, as well as to ensure availability and performance complies with Global Hosting Operations’ expectations and standards. The Systems Analyst will have a strong focus on monitoring and reporting of IMO production hosting environments. This job requires excellent analytical skills and attention to detail. Self-motivation and ability to learn quickly is essential.

Overview of Duties and Responsibilities

  • Manage, monitor and maintain Global Hosting Operations environment.
  • Test and inspect production, development and test systems.
  • Assist with reporting and monitoring of hosted systems and applications.
  • Become Subject Matter Expert on assigned IMO software products that are hosted for external clients.
  • Assist the Manager of Global Hosting Operations in the selection, implementation and operation of network monitoring/reporting tools and applications.
  • Work closely with multiple internal departments and third party vendors, as well as provide detailed status reports on assigned projects and ongoing support for hosted systems and applications.
  • Implement changes into production environments to support change management and release scheduling.
  • Work with senior team members to ensure performance of systems meet expected Service Level Agreements.
  • Must have excellent troubleshooting and problem solving skills

Knowledge, Skills, and Attributes

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent work experience.
  • Minimum 3 to 5 years of experience working in Information Technology with a focus on network/web administration, support, troubleshooting, monitoring and reporting.
  • Knowledgeable in system scripting (Batch, Powershell, etc).
  • Strong knowledge of network and web technologies (DNS, DHCP, IIS, Apache)
  • Strong knowledge of Windows server OS.
  • Understanding of AWS technologies (ELB, S3, EC2, AutoScaling) preferred.
  • Demonstrate an understanding of caching, load balancing, high availability, and server administration.
  • Demonstrate an understanding of server security issues and web protocols.
  • Demonstrate an understanding of IIS administration.
