Employee first to successfully complete the Health Level Seven International inaugural HL7 Proficiency Exam

IMO employee was first to ever successfully complete proficiency exam

Congratulations to IMO Senior Software Engineer Yunwei Wang for being the first-ever to successfully complete the Health Level Seven International inaugural HL7 Proficiency Exam. This achievement demonstrates the commitment that IMO engineers like Yunwei have to develop the most effective terminology solutions in Health IT.

Fast Healthcare Interoperability Resources (FHIR) is a next generation standards framework created by HL7. FHIR combines the best features of HL7’s product lines while leveraging the latest web standards and applying a tight focus on implementation. FHIR solutions are built from a set of standardized, modular components called resources. These resources can be easily assembled and exchanged between systems to solve real world clinical and administrative problems at a fraction of the price of existing alternatives.

Yunwei is a regular participant at HL7 and HL7 FHIR meetings having attended seven HL7 ”Connectathon,” where developers and engineers meet to collaborate on FHIR implementations and exchange.  He represents IMO by ensuring that FHIR terminology resources and operations support IMO’s content requirements ensuring our FHIR implementations align with the FHIR standard. Yunwei has cemented himself as a leader in the HL7 FHIR community and placing IMO’s knowledge and leadership respect to the HL7 FHIR standard at the forefront.
